KR Properties: Education Design Fabric (EDDE) for young designers for the best loft-style interior design

From January 17th to February 21st, 2012, there will be a series of seminars for young designers as part of Education Design Fabric (EDDE) contest course for the best loft-style private interior design.

Young architects, designers, decorators and students of architectural higher educational institutes are invited to take part at the seminars. The participants of the contest course have to find the best state-of-the-art solutions in loft design and create an interior design in partnership with a real customer as well as experts and jury. The seminars will be held at Danilovskaya Manufactory and Krasny Oktyabr.

The awarding ceremony for the winners of the EDDE contest course for the best “paper” project will take place on March 6. The winner will receive the grand-prix from the KR Properties Company: a project implementation contract or a prize of 100 thousand rubles. There is also a special prize: a one-week trip to Rio de Janeiro for two from the Tarkett Company for the best design project with the use of Tarkett flooring. The People’s Choice Award winner will be defined by the online voting.

The contest course organizers are: CJSC KR Properties, ARCHiPEOPLE.ru (Community of architects, designers and creative people), treeDS.ru (online catalog of 3d models of furniture and interior items). The jury includes Boris Uborevich-Borovskiy – the UBOREVICH design and architectural workshop; Michael Eichner, Professor at Moscow Architectural Institute, Eichner Architects architectural bureau; Rem Khasiev, Monitor magazine publisher, Oleg Nikolaevskiy, Chief Architect of BDGworkfutures bureau Russia&CIS-Moscow, Kirill Cheburashkin, Chief of the Furniture Design Department at Moscow State Academy of Art and Industry named after S.G. Stroganov; Dmitriy Barkhin, Chief Architect at KR Properties; Sergey Vasilyev, interior designer and decorator.

Elena Petropavlovskaya, KR Properties Marketing Director, said: “The announced contest course will make it possible to attract the young designers’ attention to loft. There are very few of such specialists in Russia. We are sure that the interest in and demand for loft structures will be growing rapidly, since they satisfy people’s striving for freedom and uniqueness in all the life spheres. We hope that the contest course participants will be able to offer new creative ideas for our lofts and become our partners in new projects further on”.
